Everyone loves a story and people love telling stories. Stories are memorable and many are inspirational . The intimacy of storytelling is one of the reasons podcasts have become so popular and an effective way of communicating.
Podcasting is all the rage nowadays.
In just the last few years, podcasts have been gaining popularity fast . One of the biggest reasons has been the shift to mobile; consumers are moving away from desktops and using mobile devices more often.
Another factor fueling the popularity of podcasts is people’s lack of time.
People want to multitask and get as much done as possible , and podcasts make it easy to listen during a commute, on a run, while getting housework done, etc.
ImportantPodcasts can be ‘audio for the soul’ straight into your ears and with business podcasts being one of the top five podcasting genres, it’s no wonder that so many entrepreneurs, business owners and start-ups turn to podcasting – either as podcasters themselves or as loyal listeners.
My favorite podcasts when it comes to Personal Development, Leadership, Well-Being and even Spiritual Development are the following resources that I return to again and again.

Final Thoughts
Podcasts are readily available, and listening to one requires close to no preparation. Outside of news and current events, podcasts allow listeners to get to know celebrities and high-profile guests on a more intimate level .
WarningOf course, listening to podcasts isn’t going to instantly catapult you into the ranks of the ultra-successful: people like Warren Buffett or Steve Jobs. They had to do a lot of work to translate all their reading into the bottom line.
But podcasts will definitely put you in the company of the more-successful!
Hearing these captivating stories via podcasts is influencing the way we do business , the way we run our company and the way we communicate with our clients; it proves that podcasts are effective.
Podcasts inspire conversation, while blogs tend to provoke thought.
I believe podcasts are here to stay. In fact, I believe podcasting will become the most important storytelling medium .
Which podcasts do you listen to and why? Do you have a podcast series yourself that you’d like us to know about? Please tell us in the comments.
