Unless you’ve been living under an entrepreneurial rock, you’ve probably heard of Grant Cardone. Grant has embraced social media and online video to become a spokesperson for the millennial and the voice of reason in this age of change.

From  his best-selling books to his top ranked podcast to his millions of followers  across YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook, Grant Cardone is everywhere.

Grant Cardone is an international sales expert, New York Times best-selling author, and radio show host of The Cardone Zone.  He has founded three companies : Cardone Enterprises, Cardone Real Estate Holdings, and the Cardone Group.

Grant Cardone has built a leading sales-training and to use his own terms,  the guy is freaking obsessed with success . He goes after it hard, and no one can tell him to stop.

ImportantIt’s Grant’s belief that anyone – no matter where they are today or what they’ve been through – can achieve massive success, make millions, and live the American dream.

There’s a lot to be learned about success from Grant Cardone, make no mistake about that.

So I decided to write this article that showcases some of the incredible, game changing insights from Grant Cardone, to help you elevate your life and your business to the next level.

Feed The Beast

One of the most powerful lessons I’ve ever taken away from Grant Cardone’s books, podcasts, and presentations is the importance of  obsessively pursuing and focusing on your goals .

ImportantWhen you give all of your focus and attention to your goals by reviewing them, writing them down, thinking about them, and visualizing them daily, you will naturally start to put more time and energy towards achieving them.

Never reduce your target, increase your actions!

Too  many people reduce their target  when the action they’re taking isn’t enough. Don’t fix that, instead fix the level of action you’re taking.

Don’t settle. The problem is not the target.

When you eat, breathe, and sleep your biggest goals, you will “brainwash” yourself into doing whatever is required to achieve them.

You will  no longer think about all of the obstacles you must overcome  because you are focused on your target. Instead, you will feel motivated and inspired because you get to do what it takes to achieve your goals.

The road to paradise begins in hell. As long as you are consistent, you will achieve success.

WarningThe great parts of life come from hard work. You have to do what others won’t to live like others can’t.  There is no substitute for focused persistence , but remaining persistent can be very painful, especially when your efforts are met with failure after failure.

Do What You Love Is a Scam

You  don’t have to like what you do to love what you Do!  This might sound contradictory at first, but let me explain. In many cases, your entire job description might be a laundry list of things you don’t want to do.

WarningIf you scroll through Instagram, you’ll see dozens upon dozens of “motivational” pages sharing the age-old aphorism, “If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.”

No matter how much you love your work, it is still work. You will still have to do things you don’t want to do.

Grant has claimed many times that he “hates selling.”  The king of sales himself does not enjoy picking up a phone and cold calling, or giving presentations, or meeting with investors face-to-face. But he does it anyways. And he does it better than almost anyone else in the world.

Recognize that you may not like everything you do on a daily basis, but it still allows you to live your purpose and do what you love.

No matter how much you love what you do,  you will always have to work. To do things you dislike . To bite the bullet and grind through hours upon hours of tasks that you don’t enjoy.

Success is simple, once you accept how hard it is.

Success Is Your Duty

Only you are responsible for your success.  The truth is, no one is ever going to hand you success . There is no magic bullet or success pill that you can use to suddenly become successful.

Quit complaining, blaming, and making excuses about why you aren’t where you want to be and boss up!

Take responsibility for your life, actions, and results  and refuse to allow second-class behavior from yourself. Be the boss in every area of your life.

WarningIf you are not where you wanted to be at this stage in your life, chances are that you haven’t been committed enough to make your dreams come true.

Grant Cardone sees success as an obligation and not a choice.

ImportantWhen you have decided that your success is a must, then you can truly succeed and take massive action. It is only when you views success as a “should’ve” or a “would’ve” that you shoot yourself in the foot by not going all in and committing to achieving the success you desire.

Once you start acting like success is your duty and not just something that would be nice, you will find yourself getting obsessed with becoming the best you.

Be Found Or Be Forgotten

You need to be known by your effort.  Tie your goals to a bigger purpose or else it won’t stick . Every great business is evangelical about its mission and the leader should be the chief evangelist.

Customers are attracted to businesses that are about something bigger than business. Leaders need to dial in the mission of their business, and be the biggest advocate.

WarningThe thing that sets millennials apart when most of us are trying to find the quickest, easiest and least sustainable way to wealth is how much effort an individual puts into their job.

One of Grant’s most profound and counter-intuitive success lessons is that work should be seen as a privilege, not as an obligation. You don’t have to work. You get to work.

ImportantToday,  right now, you have the opportunity to do something with your life . To create. To share. To impact lives. To offer value. To leave a lasting legacy and do what you were put on this earth to do.

It’s a sad fact but if you seriously hustle at anything you will become known because a strong work ethic is a rare commodity.

One needs to look no further than Kim Kardashian over the last few years to witness the power of taking up space in the marketplace and using it to propel one’s self to massive success and/or financial freedom.

Find a strong enough reason that will root you to the ground when the winds of life are blowing your way.

Sell Or Be Sold

Sales solves all. You need to measure all of your decisions against your ability to produce income.  When you net more, you have the freedom to do more . Sales allow you to stay cash-positive from day one.

Everyone is in sales, no matter your job or business. And many entrepreneurs and professionals overcomplicate it.

Sales is a contact sport . It’s about finding the person who can buy, who has the power to decide, and who’s interested. Then you approach them with an offer, talk price, and make an ask. It’s really that simple, though not always easy.

The most successful salespeople focus on simplifying their sales process.

ImportantOne of your core duties as a salesman is to transfer your certainty of the product to your buyer. So before you go to sell anyone on a product  believe totally in the benefits of the product .

If you don’t absolutely believe that what you are selling is the best thing since sliced bread, you would struggle to get a sale.

WarningWe have a tendency to get things done slowly, and treat things as if they’re a bother or unimportant. But  acting with urgency and speed can make all the difference with productivity .

The quicker you act and the faster you move, the more you’ll get done, the more time you’ll create, and the more time you’ll have to do more.

Final Thoughts

What I Learned From Grant Cardone Final Thoughts
Almost every problem people face in their careers and other aspects of their lives – such as failed diets, marriages, and financial problems – are all the result of not taking enough action.Grant Cardone
The difference between 99% and 100% is the difference between freedom and servitude. You have to make a decision to commit completely, and only then can you expect victory.

Create a situation where retreat is not an option and you will find yourself fighting that much harder to win. To build an empire, every move has to relate back to your growth, and  we have to assume responsibility for every choice we make .

Quit making excuses and take responsibility.

ImportantIt doesn’t matter where you start, what you’ve been through or what mistakes you’ve made in the past. Almost every great success story on this earth has been attributed to a change in mindset.

So if you want to dominate your life,  start by dominating yourself – your thoughts, beliefs, and actions !

You have incredible potential within you.

Grant Cardone himself has said that he should have aimed higher than what he did. Nix Your Limits! Don’t allow doubt to deter you.

Do more than average today and your tomorrow will be outstanding.

Grant is living proof that commitment, persistence, and a big vision are all that is necessary for success. Which is your favorite success lesson from Grant Cardone? Leave a comment below.
