Whether you’re a budding business owner or an experienced hotshot, taking some time to  read what’s going on in the industry is essential .

But you know better than anyone else that time is money.

WarningYou probably don’t have time to go through the enormous number of resources available to you online. There’s an overwhelming amount of information available to entrepreneurs.  There are thousands of websites out there offering news and advice  about the world of business and entrepreneurship.

The internet is filled with resources and publications dedicated to assisting you in your ventures, but you have to be able to track down the good stuff.

Whether you’re just starting out freelancing in your spare time or you have a thriving business and you’re looking to expand,  there are always new resources that can help you along in the entrepreneurial process .

These sites are a great starting point: they’re all good resources and you may not have explored all of them.

We’ve pulled together a short list of our favorite entrepreneurs websites to get you started. Whether you run a tech start-up or a small business, you’ll want to bookmark these 6 picks.

Founded in 1979, Inc. Magazine  focuses on growing companies in the U.S. . Businesses should make it a goal to land in the Inc. 5000, an annual list of the fastest growing companies in America.

Inc. Magazine is led by Eric Schurenberg and is one of the most popular and reputable websites in the world.

Definitely one of my top favorite entrepreneurs websites, Inc. is  an incredibly comprehensive list of short, educational articles on absolutely everything business-related , from starting up to finance to leadership and growth.

Giving Inc. a quick glance a day wouldn’t be a waste of time.

The part of the site most useful to new entrepreneurs is “Start-Up.” It’s loaded with  super helpful reads on the dos and don’ts of business .

This is a resource that will help you find everything you need to know to start and grow your business.

The website is an  excellent resource for new entrepreneurs and investors to get a quick peep into the fastest growing startups in the US . In addition, you can read countless articles on entrepreneurship and how other successful entrepreneurs achieved what they did.

RecommendedPrimers on business basics, boning up on terminology, and step-by-step how-tos.

Entrepreneur

For a  huge collection of information on starting and running your own business , you should start with Entrepreneur. The company behind the site also runs Women Entrepreneur — a good resource for women looking at entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneur is a website publishing hundreds of articles on matters that are of particular interest to owners of small companies.

You can read success stories, the latest technological innovations, tips on operating out of a home office or coworking space etc.  Entrepreneur originally started as a magazine in America in 1977 .

Entrepreneur magazine seeks to inspire, inform and celebrate entrepreneurship.

Offering real solutions to the challenges entrepreneurs face, including tips, tools and insider news to help build and grow your business.  It’s a must for startup founders and entrepreneurs .

Entrepreneur has been in publication for decades and has always focused on entrepreneurs but their website is much more than the magazine.

The website is blog-driven but grouped into sections such as “Small Business Resources,” “How-To” and “Lists.”   The articles are interesting, enjoyable and useful .

RecommendedSigning up for Entrepreneur’s notifications or getting the app can help you stay up to date on the latest strategies and news affecting entrepreneurs. It’s a must for founders.

WarningForbes is not just the monthly magazine you think of but  a living site with up-to-date info on trends with blog postings, tools and tips from contributors who are experts in their field  – along with other traditionals such as financial listings and business profiles.

RecommendedForbes’ “Entrepreneur” section is a great way to stay updated. The section is less advice-driven and more centered around news that is relevant and interesting to business owners.

Fast Company

Fast Company was founded on a single premise:  global revolution is changing business, and business is changing the world .

Fast Company covers everything from small to medium businesses to startups and more.

Although the publication covers a wide variety of different topics,  there are very few full, in-depth stories . By uncovering best and “next” practices, the magazine helps business leaders work smarter and more effectively.

Fast Company focuses on the most creative individuals sparking change in the marketplace.

Discarding the old rules of business,  Fast Company set out to chronicle how changing companies create and compete, to highlight new business practices , and to showcase the teams and individuals who are inventing the future and reinventing business.

Fast Company is more than just another business magazine, because it focuses on the movers and shakers who primarily exist behind the scenes.
